LHC: A Guide
We all know what the Large hadron Collider will do, hell we all know what it means if they do come across some of the rare elements, particles and quantum results they are predicting…
But how does it actually collide the particles? and how does it actually work?
I stumbled across this short video that describes the LHC’s operation in detail, and no its not in the form of scientists rapping in front of the thing (thank god).
After the video is finished you’ll know *EXACTLY* how the LHC will tear a hole in the space time fabric and make all the toasters eject hot buttered iPhones at the same time (which is about as likely as it creating a blackhole that would destroy the Earth).

Tim,
Thanks for that. That is way cool. I couldn’t have asked for a more concise and well presented description of the machine.
Hopefully when they start getting results we might see something equivalent that describes what they discover…
Hi Tim,
I hate to tell you this (but I will anyway). I posted a link to that video 3 days ago in response to Cait’s post regarding the Hadron collider.
It is a cool video and worth going up on the front page though.
I don’t get to read the comments much so I probably missed it, I think its still the best description of the process yet though!
