Podcasters’ Emporium Talks to Dave

Just been in the process of updating my podcasts and finally sync’ing my iPod at long last and noticed that good friend of the Aussie Geek Podcast, James Williams has updated his show. To my surprise James has edited an interview he did with me a while back and created a 2 part Interview. He released the first part today.

James sums up the first part better than I could:

“We speak to Dave about his decision to deconsolidate from the network and become independent. We also discuss and examine the challenges of moving and setting yourself up as an independent podcaster after being connected with a network.”

I would encourage everyone to jump over to the Podcasters’ Emporium and support James. Please drop him a comment and even better subscribe to the show. Not a weekly gig for James usually as he is busy runnnig his network and producing many podcasts and not his own! Regardless I look forward to every episode, at the top of my list when one comes out. James is an accomplished producer and puts out a very polished podcast.

I’ll let you in on a little secret as well, stay on the lookout for some collaborative work that James and I are working on. That’s all I am going to say, I might get in trouble for saying that.

Thanks James it was a pleasure shooting the breeze. Thanks for the kind words.

  1. I heard it! I was subscribed to his feed… What’s even more important is that I got a mention! Hee!

Really great and interesting show, I hope he posts Part 2 very soon, I’m excited to hear the rest of the interview.

  2. You never know Herne, you might actually get a mention in the second part of the interview too! Thanks for the kind words Dave, and Herne.

  3. @James Woohoo! More Herne! ;P

When should we expect part 2?

  4. Next week Herne… only 6 more sleeps!

  5. Nice, Dave is a podcast star and The Herne is a celebrity now!

  6. Hardly! Truth is this gig would not happen without the team that surrounds it. From the people that help on the forum, the design, the hosts EVERYONE then little old me.

I am in debt to all including the listeners that put up with all the crap that happens :P

The Herne is just the Herne… don’t swell his head any - he can ill afford how it would make him look!

  7. 6 more sleeps?! Awwwww! (…booting pout/whine mode)

@Raf Hey, they talked about that Belgian guy too, what’s his name? Starts with a K…Knit…?

But I only heard, “Herne, Herne, Herne, Herne, Herne…” :P

  8. Oh please, see I warned you Raf…

  9. Good show, subscribed and looking forward to part 2!

I don’t think a Podcast which calls itself Podcasters’ Emporium will ever be complete without a full length interview with the Herne and KW. I advise the host to interview them separately though to keep his sanity and to get a word in edgeways himself. ;)

  10. Nice idea Tom, or adding to that idea, perhaps we could invite them both, name the episode “Thunderdome” and we could all just quietly back out of the room and leave them to it?

  11. Do it! It should be recorded live though, and the audience should be allowed to heckle from behind the safety glass. Ready, Set, Knightwise… Release the Herne! ;)
