Aussie Geek Podcast #046 :: Keith is Alive!

AGP #46 [75:40m]: Play Now | Play in Popup | Download

Welcome to the Aussie Geek for another go round the esky! Well we thought he might have been lost in the wilderness or something but nope! Turns out he was where we left him, yes Keith is back after his break. He’s been busy being a family man and all that. Although I jest, being a Dad is serious business.

We are pleased though that both Keith and Dave are able to see their way clear for a bit more podcasting.

Thanks for joining us and we trust that you enjoy the show!

  1. Woooo!

  2. Now I don’t where the problem arises from but for this podcast I have had a problem with the download stopping before it is complete.

I was on the train during the week happily listening away when the show stopped at around 54 minutes in. I tried downloading it again and came up with the same problem. The only way that I have been able to get around this is to use an online converter (http://www.mediaconverter.org) to convert mp3 to mp3 (yes it allows me to do that). Once that is complete I am then able to download it from mediaconverter.org without a problem.

I have never had this problem with the other 10 or so podcasts that I download. It didn’t happen with the last show but has happened previously with other AGP podcasts. I don’t use use itunes and grab it using RSS reader Feeddemon as I do with all my other podcast downloads.

    BTW - Good podcast again.

  3. I am having the same issue at about the 13 min mark. Even streaming it direct from the site here doesn’t work.

  4. Hey Guys

We looked under the hood and we can’t find any issues at all. That is not to say that you did not have any just that we can’t find a problem. I managed to stream the show, directly download it and get it via iTunes.

Having said that we do know that in the past our host has not played nice with some users. We are hoping to have this solved when we finally migrate the site over to the Lifestyle Podnetwork and nice spiffy servers.

This is a weird issue in that it doesn’t seem to affect everyone and the people it does affect - it seems to be random and not the same from user to user. Making it really hard to sort out.

We are sorry that you have had problems and we hope that you’ll stick with us while we migrate.

Thanks for you patience and willingness to get the show.
