Welcome once again to another fun filled episode where Knightwise is getting far too much coffee and porn and Keith is sleep deprived and yet good to have around!

In this episode we pay AGP respects to Steve Jobs but that means that we did not actually talk about the man so much as what he left behind and how that has impacted our lives.

We also have some of the usual stuff and the return for a limited time of the blooper reel!

  1. Although it was a very apple centric show and I am a devoted apple virgin I still enjoyed it. At least with the 3 of you, your usage of apple products doesn’t extend to fanboy craziness.

I’ve also downloaded Lightscreen Portable to put on my work computer (which is still running XP). There’s been times that I could have used this - thanks.

My downloading of the show woes continue - this time it got to 66 minutes before giving up. I used http://www.mediaconverter.org/ to convert and download it. Where there’s a will there’s a way :)

  2. I’m also struggling to download the episode on my podcatcher. I’ve tried on and off over the last couple of days but it’s r_e_a_l_l_y slow. Keith, any chance you can mirror the mp3 file as with the previous episode? Thanks

  3. Guys

Good show. I had forgotten how much I had turned into a apple user. I got my first 1st gen 2gb ipod nano (click wheel and small screen) in about 2006 to listen to music while i travelled for work. I spend around 8 hours a week in the car, so quickly i turned to podcasts after meeting a podcaster on a flight in the US from Denver to LAX of all places.

After that I got given a 2nd gen 4gb nano by work and after a while progessed to the 6th gen classic (wasn’t fussed with what i heard about the touch’s). Got the classic to watch videos on flights plus extra music storage. Now i have a iphone 4 for work. Really, i have turned to apple.

But as dave said, its about ease of podcasting and music more than anything. And… I still have every one of the ipods. The classic lives in my car, the nanos belong to the kids and the iphone is mine.

We recently got a Iphone 4 and a ipad 2 for my wife. To be honest the ipad, whilst useful it is overrated as it wont play flash. If i had realised the retardation of this when i got it, i would never have purchased it.

Having said that the new v5 operating system for the iphone 4 has poor blue tooth connectivity compared to v4 and worse, you get call drops before and after calls say 1 in 5 calls if not more. Never had that with v4.

Im going to look into hotspot shield, someone only asked me about it this week.

Re downloads, i too had problems the other week with dropouts in itunes IIRC. But it came good.

    Cheers

    G

  4. I have been using Screenpresso for screenshots lately after abandoning PicPick. It can be run without installation. Worth a look.
